Perfect skin | Perfect base

All skincare and beauty fanatics know the number one rule to achieving the perfect flawless base. Clear skin. Throughout my experience, and anyone can vouch for what I'm about to say; clear skin is the fundamental key to attaining a flawless, makeup base.

You can use all of the makeup primers in the world, silicone based or water-based; if you do not have clear skin, do not expect to have a flawless foundation result. Okay so we all get the odd spots here and there, no big deal but if you are not cleansing your skin or looking after it after applying all of your beauty products lets face it, your skin will have its worst days.

For me it has become so important to deep cleanse, and look after my skin since I am pretty much always applying beauty products on a daily basis due to my job role. However, there is no excuse to not have time to remove your make-up after a long day!! I don't care how tired you are, it takes 10-15 minutes of your time. JUST DO IT!

Here is a basic 4 step routine with recommended products, to keep your skin hydrated and clear!

Step 1

Remove any make-up with a baby wipe, I personally use the fragrance free wipes as they are not harsh on my skin and are more gentle on the skin

Step 2

Following the removal with the baby wipe, I recommend using a Micellar cleansing water to remove any excess dirt or oil. I personally use the Garnier, oil-infused cleansing water as I have dry skin

Step 3

After using the cleansing water, WASH YOUR FACE! Peter Thomas Roth has a great cleansing gel range suited to different skin types. I love the Rose Stem-cell cleansing gel as it is light, and helps to lift and tighten your skin! Amazing I know!

Step 4

MOISTURISE!! My favourite moisturiser is the Ole Henriksen featherweight moisturiser as it helps to boost your skins vitality and glow! Alongside hydrating your skin with cloudberry and willow bark extracts!

Hope this post helps you beautiful ladies to achieve your perfect skin for your perfect base!
